Consider a mustard seed. Have you ever stopped to think that a seed, which is not bigger than a speck, can grow into a lush plant. Here at The Park English School we have over the many years propagated the same concept of wholesome growth and development.

" De Semine Crescit ", " From The Seed It Grows " is what our school motto says. We see children when they come to us with tears rolling down their cheeks, tear faced, starry-eyed and whinning. When they bid us adieu at the end of 12 years they are once again tear-faced and starry-eyed!

Young sapplings grow over the years into fine strong plants with branches towards the sun, ready to face the world and its manifold teachings.

Ever notice how a gardner tends with immense love and care the many coloured plants in his garden? Some may yield flowers ten fold, some may yeild twenty fold and some may yield a hundred fold. But this does not cause the gardner to shower his love and care in different graduations. He showers his concern equally.

This is precisely what we as teachers are called to do. We nurture sapling into young plants till they grow into strong trees and carry within themselves the principals this institution has over the years stood for - Love, Justice, Fraternity, Equality and Peace.

Today, the glamour filled lifestyle which the internet and the television encourage has become the centre of the lives of young children, influencing them to the extent, that they even look up to the broadcasted programmes to find solutions to their petty problems.
" One good teacher is worth a hundred priests ", today has to be replaced with " One good teacher is worth a hundred television programmes or internet games." This is the challenge that we are faced with today and what we intend to cultivate in children - their lost creativity.

Let's all pledge to get back that creativity in our children, infusing them with those lost principles that have been modernised. adapting them to newer moulds. We have to stand up to the changes that have taken place across the globe and adapt them into our methodology.

Let's not shy away from technology and innovations for the benifit of our children and the benifit of their future.
